Example Funds
England Woodland Creation Offer (EWCO)
Funding Available: Up to £10,200 per hectare, with an additional £8,000 for public benefits.
Who Can Apply: Landowners, land managers, and public bodies. Grants support woodland creation on areas as small as 1 hectare.
Woodland Creation Planning Grant
Purpose: Supports the pre-planting stage of woodland creation with funding to plan your project.
HS2 Woodland Fund
What It Covers: Grants for restoring ancient woodland sites or creating new native woodlands, with additional maintenance payments.
Woodland Trust Programs
Free Trees: Provides free trees for schools and community projects.
MOREwoods: Covers up to 75% of planting costs for private landowners planting over 1.25 acres.
MOREhedges: Subsidizes up to 75% of the cost for planting over 100 meters of new hedging.

Branching Out: Covers 100% of costs for tree and hedge planting projects for schools and community groups.
International Tree Foundation (ITF)
Grants Up To: £6,000 for local community tree planting projects across the UK.
Borders Forest Trust Grant
Available Funding: Up to £1,000 per year for small planting projects (less than 0.25ha) aimed at enhancing landscape and biodiversity.
Scottish Government - Woodland Creation Grant
Grant Details: Supports various woodland creation activities, including fencing and tree protection, with multiple capital grants available.
Northern Ireland Grant Schemes (DAERA)
